♡ It's Skin Babyface Collection ♡

Gasp, shock, horror! A second blog post in the space of a week?! Well... it's about time I got my fat ass into gear and so voila... here is a blog post about one of my latest favourite cosmetic products. Hmmm now where to begin with this adorable creation?

Well at first glance you can see how splendid and cute the design is of the packaging! Using little baby angel wings was definitely a smooth move for this range but I do wish that the wings were actually attached to the physical main body of the containers and not just the plastic outside... major disappointment there because baby angel wings on the containers would have scored 10/10 from me! But the cute little faces kind of make up of it I suppose...

One Step Base and BB Cream

It is my first time using a coloured base underneath my BB cream... I've tended to steer towards the usual primers but after a while they just dried out my skin and didn't really help underneath foundation. So using the one step base was an... unusual surprise for me because it actually worked! The green colour helps with redness on your skin and I have that in my cheek area and it really toned down my redness and made my skin look pretty even as well by covering up as many pores as it could. The BB cream... I was expecting the light shade to be too dark for my skin tone as I keep having these problem with certain brands so again, like with the one step base, I was indeed surprised to find that the BB cream actually is exact to my skin tone and doesn't make me look like a goddamn oompa loompa. I also like how non-greasy this cream is so I use it just on its own without the need of powder these days which makes a nice change.

Petite Pact and Pore Perfect Powder

The petite pact is just like every other compressed powder pact in my honest opinion... there isn't really anything special about it except that it matches exact to my skin tone like the BB cream and it almost has a mattifying effect like Skin Food's Peach Sake compact powder... but the cute little face embedded into the top made me not want to use it but alas I did. The pore perfect powder is one of my favourite things of this particular collection because it works just like translucent powder with added effect of minimising your pores... something I definitely want to keep doing because my pores are so large and it's frustrating at times. I use the pore perfect powder every so often with my BB cream to give a more mattifying look to my skin as well as wanting to make the BB cream last for a while longer without having to keep applying every so oftren throughout the day.

Babyface Mascara

I like this mascara. It's not too watery nor is it too thick like others I have used in the past and it helps to cover all of my lashes without making them look so spidery. What I like is that I can use this for a nice natural lash look without using two or three coats... one is plenty enough. Also I can use this mascara for when I'm wearing false lashes, this is the mascara to use to help make my lashes blend in with the false ones... if that made sense? All in all this is a great mascara and for the price it's one to purchase again in the future.

Magic Tint Bar

This product is something I'm still deciding over. I've only used it a couple of times because it's very good at clinging to the crevasses of your lips and when you have extremely dried, cracked lips the look is not so hot to look at but it does help moisturise your lips ever so slightly. The colour is the plus side to this, it's like a peachy... coral colour which makes a nice change from all of the nudes and reds I have in my collection... I need to branch out to more colours really so this kind of helps break that routine of the same colours over and over again.

↑↑ Note that in the picture I am wearing false eyelashes but you can just about see the mascara on my lower lashes. Also I wasn't wearing the tint bar at this particular time either ↑↑

Overall Verdict: ★★★★★
My overall opinion about this collection is that it's great if you have a price limit... all of these products were purchased from Koreadepart for less than $10 each (mainly in the $5-$6 region than others) and another plus is that they're travel sized so can easily fit in your purse/handbag if you need a quick touch up when you're out and away from your make-up collection. It's Skin made a great little collection and won on so many levels with the cute... baby angel wings... baby faces on the packaging and they do get a massive thumbs up for how well each product actually is and that it does what it says on the packet. I'll definitely be branching out and getting some more items in this collection and maybe even branch out and purchase some skin products from this particular brand for sure.

♡ London MCM Expo Weekend ♡

This is such an extremely late post and I would use every excuse under the sun but the main reason that I haven't exactly been feeling the urge to blog? It's weird because I have a few things to blog about - this post being one of them whilst having about five reviews lined up - yet I don't have that urgent need to write yet when I have absolutely nothing the write about... I want to write left, right and centre! Anyway; enough excuse making, lets get on with this particular post.

This was the first time Sapphire would have been to the London version of comic con so she was pretty excited to be going and I was pretty excited to be going to see friends faces and to share this experience with her. We decided to go on the Friday and the Saturday this year (as on the Sunday, Sapphire had to travel back home for work on Monday so it would have been impossible to have done it) as Fridays are the quieter days as well as getting first pick of things. Also on Fridays, the doors don't actually open until 2.30pm so we had all morning to prep, preen and prepare ourselves. Actually the line wasn't that long when we arrived at Excel, shorter than I was actually expecting as this was the first time I'd actually been on a Friday as I'd always opted for a Saturday and Sunday because...... well university and work got in the way I suppose but as I had a whole week booked off this time around and the fact Sapphire had to leave on the Sunday... it would have been pretty stupid not to have gone on the Friday. Anyway like I was saying, the queue wasn't that big and it only took us an hour from when we joined to actually getting our wristbands, plus also making friends with the people in front of us made the time slip by quicker.

↑↑ Day one make-up / face / wig etc... ↑↑

It may sound strange but it felt like that the hall had tripled in size since May and because all stalls had been moved around and not anywhere where they were placed last time kind of lost me a little bit... but it was nice to find where each stall was without being crushed and bumped into every single second... that part came on the Saturday and oh my god I physically felt claustrophobic as soon as we entered the doorway! I think Sapphire clung onto my shirt the whole time we were trying to push through the crowds! Compared to the Friday, we went down the other other end of the hall where we didn't venture to and it was a pretty stupid idea in all honesty to do that... but hey you learn from mistakes!

↑↑ Amazing figurines and MOOMIN plushies oh my gosh ヽ(;▽;)ノ ↑↑

Looking back over my photographs I didn't actually take a lot of the actual hall and stalls... in actual fact there are barely any photographs from the whole two days! And there really isn't much to talk about as well... found friends on the Friday and a certain friend found us which I was amazed by but h'omg to see her again was just fabulous and we seriously need to have a catch up in the new year or something... but anyway the same pattern happened during those two days, whilst watching our money disappear very slowly! On the first day I only purchased two things; a giant pink arpakasso whom I have fittingly named Koichi (because my medium purple one is called Genki and if you're a j-rock fan you'll understand immediately) and the Chinese version of EXO's repackage album. Sapphire seemed to be chuffed with what she purchased also on the two days.

↑↑ Myself and Kin and myself and Charli ↑↑

I also really do aplogise for some of the extremely blurry pictures... when you get bumped into whilst taking an actual picture that doesn't help at all... also people are really rude sometimes! It's like on the Saturday, the whole time I spent trying to get through crowds I swear saying "excuse me, thank you" was being polite?! Why give death stares when I'm being fucking polite?! I do wish the organisers of the expo sorted things out for the Saturday because Friday was better organised where as Saturday was just a complete disaster... also my feet hurt from being trodden on the whole time (T A T)

↑↑ Myself and Sapphire and myself and Charli being derps on day two! ↑↑

↑↑ Baby Emilia and I ヽ(;▽;)ノ ↑↑

I'm also very sorry for this post being such a higgle piggle of words... when both days were pretty much the same (oh I almost forgot about eating brownies on the Saturday...) what is the point about writing about each day? Mash it altogether I say oho (〜 ̄▽ ̄)〜

All in all it did seem like that Sapphire enjoyed herself at expo and I enjoyed myself spending time with her as well as seeing friends whom I miss dearly! Also making new friends was a lovely and enjoyable experience as well (*´▽`* ♥ I have no clue if I'll do expo again in all honesty... if Emilia does the May one again then I'll just pop into London for the day just to smoosh her face but other than that... I think my run of expos has officially emptied out. Oh here are a few pictures of what I purchased from the days;

Pretty typical of me... plushies, notebooks, a cd, food, drinks and a washcloth is certainly my taste in things! Also I've just noticed that there is a lot of.......... pink. Oh mmmyyy...

♡ Etude House Princess Etoinette Collection Part II ♡

Now, I did find out about this a couple of days ago but alas as per usual... I'm behind on writing things! Now; if you all remember that last year, Etude House brought out a delectable (and extremely pretty) collection called 'Princess Etoinette' and whilst sadly I couldn't get my hands on any of those products... Etude have now brought out another part of this particular collection; Princess Etoinette Season II for this coming winter!

Instead of the packaging being pink and gold like last time... they've upgraded to white and silver which personally I prefer as I prefer silver over gold any day of the year. Also the fact they've brought out an eau de toilette really intrigues me as well but I don't really like the obvious shiny plastic material for the main part of the bottle... it could be glass though so until I hold it physically in my hands my opinion about it will stay... oh and the bubble squeezy... thingy to squirt out the perfume is definitely my favourite piece as my great aunt used to have a perfume bottle with one of them on it and I remember playing pretend princesses/movie stars with it etc

Next... I'm certainly happy that they've brought out some new lipstick colours! Is it obvious that I love lipsticks / glosses? If you saw my make-up box you'd wonder what the heck is wrong with me... unless you have the same obsession with lipsticks like I do!

Might have to (definitely) purchase all three colours as it's rather hard to decide which one I prefer the most. Now in the last collection there was a shimmer powder and blush pot and this time there is an all over powder (and they suggest putting it on your eyes, cheeks and lips) but you could put it in other places of your face / body to give a shimmer to your skin.

I love the little decorative pots the best because once you've finished with the powders (and you can't get refills) I guess you can always use them for storing earrings / rings or even other blushes / powders that original broke in their packaging. Next is the blooming perfumed hand cream which comes in two scents; white peony and pink rose! Now peony is actually my favourite flower in the world so this collection is winning on so many levels!

And finally there shall also be two candles in the same scents as the hand cream! With the bath bombs from the last collection and these candles in this collection you'd probably feel like a proper princess whenever you decide to have a pampering bath!

Edit; the candles actually weren't the last thing in the collection! There shall be a new compact mirror as well as some perfumed hair mist to make your locks smell all lovely for the day ahead!

Well it's official. Etude House have won on so many levels with this extension to the Princess Etoinette collection and it is now a must must must for me to get my hands on a couple of these items! Now all they need to do is a princess style hand mirror (kind of like Lioele's little hand mirror or Anna Sui's rose mirror line?) and a matching brush / comb then I am sold so much! What catches your attention the most from this collection?

Do check out the Etude House website for other details and  please note that all pictures displayed here are from the Etude House homepage and are NOT my own work. Thank you!

♡ Sapphire's Birthday + Aquarium ♡

Hi hi hi everybody! It's been a while since I've blogged huh? It's been over a week since my best friend left to go home and last week we actually had a storm here in the UK that evening which cut out our power here from 7am Monday morning until 3.30pm on Tuesday afternoon (seriously a whole 32 hours of doing practically nothing except for read and drink tea is extremely mind numbing...) and then afterwards I've been (trying) to edit about 200 odd photographs and with my attention span... errr it didn't go as planned there so I'm really really really behind :c

Anyway this post is about Sapphire's birthday and our trip to London Aquarium! You see, Sapphire's birthday was actually the first birthday (be it mine or hers) that we've actually spent together so it was pretty exciting to be honest... I managed to get her a U-Kiss album and have it delivered on time because delivery from Asia varies from time to time and I didn't want to take any risks so I ordered it about two months ago and I made the right decision seeing as it arrived literally a few days before she did! We went into town for a few hours to have lunch together and just do a bit of window shopping... or in my case do some actual shopping as I've been kind of needing new clothes for a while >u> Actually our first stop was at Nando's as we had both been naughty and skipped breakfast and by the time we actually got into town it was about 1pm so food was pretty much an amazing option by then. This was actually the first time Sapphire had ever been into Nando's and she seemed to like it quite a bit... it's a nice relaxed atmosphere and the staff are actually rather lovely and welcoming.

It was strange that we both pretty much ordered the same food except for one side dish... we didn't even give away any information to each other to what we were going to order until the food was delivered to us... it's pretty freaky sometimes how similar our minds actually are! Afterwards we did try to get some Halloween goodies from Poundland but alas nothing really grabbed our attention so we headed over to Starbucks to try their autumn specials. I ordered the salted caramel mocha and oh my days it tasted like I was eating a chocolate pretzel (which obviously is yum) and it did feel slightly weird to have rock salt on top of whipped cream but it worked? I was slightly greedy that day as it has been quite a while since I last had Starbucks so I ordered a strawberry and cream frappe afterwards.

We headed to primark, as said previously, I was desperate for some new clothes but the ones that I actually liked in there didn't have my sizes so I left with a long assed jumper, a skater dress top thing and some stone washed leggings which for the prices they were... it was pretty much a bargain. I also splurged a little that day and treated myself to Lady Gaga's 'FAME' fragrance as I was in the market for something new and even though I loved Katy Perry's 'KILLER QUEEN' fragrance... I opted for Lady Gaga's as it was a surprisingly nice scent.

Later in the evening, we had a mass family meal... more my family than Sapphire's as my brother and his housemate (who is also like another brother to me as we all grew up together) practically smelt the words /free food/ a mile off but to be honest... those extra bodies made the atmosphere more jolly? I originally wanted to cook all of the food and make Sapphire a cake myself but mum was like "no... you go and enjoy time with your friend and I'll do it all" and despite a lot of protesting it just turned out easier to give up arguing and let mum do all of the cooking ( ̄(エ) ̄) All in all it was such a lovely evening and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves!

So on the Thursday, Sapphire and I headed into London to go to the aquarium at South Bank as they still had a 2 for 1 offer going on so it was pretty stupid not to snap it up and go along. It was rather cold in the morning when we headed out... normally I'm used to going into London around midday and coming home at like 11pm at night but we left the house around 9am... such a massive difference! Getting there early though, there wasn't much of a queue (heck there wasn't even a queue when we came out almost two hours later!) there isn't much to explain about the aquarium so I'll just splash (no pun intended seriously) a few pictures for you all to see;

I do very much apologise for the mass picture spam but it was so so so hard which ones to post... and is it obvious that I enjoyed the shark reef a lot? Apparently Sapphire should have taken a picture of me spazzing out at the penguins because they were so chubby and chubby and cute and chubby ; n ; omg though one was actually called 'Tubby' whilst another was called 'Vladamir'!!!

After the aquarium, we headed towards Central as it wasn't so far away and headed straight towards Chinatown (duh) for food. I originally had a list of places I wanted to take Sapphire (as well as to cross off my bucket list for before I moved abroad) but that didn't actually happen... so to save on the cash we went to our favourite eatery Misato as for the piles of food they give you and for the prices they charge how could you refuse? Oh and the food does taste amazing as well... yeah shouldn't forget that part. I originally wanted to go for something different but in the end I went for my usual;

After food we wandered around Chinatown, on which I purchased about a months supply of instant ramen as well as some other treats and then we went to purchase a cake. I actually took Sapphire to a different bakery previously and we were both disappointed with the past experience so we went to my favourite place 'Golden Gate Bakery' which has all the stars for style and substance (hurrr reference there)

After we had our fills in Chinatown, we went to Westfield's at Stratford City as that is pretty much on the way home so it was nice to go somewhere different. Actually I only had one place to go to on my mind and that was;

DISNEY!!! Gosh I love Disney stores and this one was all prepared for Christmas already but there was just something that made it even more magical. I was so caught up in the Disney I practically had to drag myself away from signing up for a Disney cruise experience... sob. But the one thing I was aiming for was to purchase a new mug as my last one sadly cracked a few weeks back and believe me choosing a mug was definitely a hard decision there! In the end I went for my favourite character Miss Daisy Duck;

I also may have cheated and purchased a couple of other items as well.... but but but they were in the sale and how could I not take them home?! And actually I technically got the marshmallow Sully for free because the (rather cute) sales guy was getting all flustered and didn't know how to scan the item so he was like "eh have it on me" sobs I could have married him on the spot!

My final purchase of the day was a box of macarons from a tiny iddy biddy stall down the food court (I swear it feels like a mile walk just to get from one end to the other) and I've previously purchased from said stall before hence why I had to purchase again because their macarons are simply delectable;

And thus this is pretty much the end of the first half of the week with my bestest best friend... I miss her so much already that I feel that I may have to push back my move abroad by about a week to go up to visit her and say goodbye and shit :c ugh I envy the people who have their best friends so close by to them when ever they need them... I know Birmingham isn't exactly far away away but when there is work in the way it makes it seem like it's the end of the world? I'm just going to finish off this post with a couple of pictures of Sapphire and myself before I get over emotional;

Oh one extra final note... I'll try not to leave such a massive gap in between this post and my next post about London MCM Expo... it's kinda sorta not actually been started but I'll try and get that done and published by the weekend hopefully if I don't get distracted by something sparkly...
